Welcome to Pediatric Dentistry Asleep

Our office provides specialized dentistry for children and adolescents in a warm, caring, and child-friendly environment. We serve infants, children, and children with special health care needs in Pittsburgh & surrounding areas, including Northern West Virgina and Eastern Ohio.

Our highly-skilled, experienced and trained team provides comprehensive dental treatment under general anesthesia for your child in a safe, and gentle environment. Utilizing the facilities of Southwestern Ambulatory Surgery Center (SWASC,) a fully accredited surgery center in the South Hills, near Pittsburgh, PA. SWASC was the first and, is the most experienced, free-standing surgery center in Western Pennsylvania.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Joseph & his team. My 4 year old had a good bit of dental work needing done. At the pre-op consultation Dr Joseph heard a heart murmur that we were not aware of. We were able to get my daughter to a cardiologist immediately & make sure that her heart was okay. After being cleared for surgery- Dr. Joseph was on top of everything & made us feel 100% confident she would be okay for surgery. During the time frame of trying to get the clearance, she developed some tooth pain & a cracked tooth & the team worked effortlessly to get her in within the week for her surgery. I talked to Dr Joseph almost daily during that week & he was constantly in contact checking on her to make sure she was okay while we prepped for surgery day. The day of surgery went so smooth & Dr. Joseph did an amazing job with all that needed done. He came out before her surgery made sure he answered any questions we had- spent time talking with my 4 year old about it. And as soon the surgery was over Dr. Joseph came out to go over everything with us on what was done & explained everything thoroughly. He let us know what to expect & made sure he checked on her multiple times before we left. I wish Dr. Joseph was a regular dentist as well & not just a surgeon because we would be seeing him permanently! I have let everyone I know who has little ones going through dental issues about pediatric dentistry asleep & will continue to do so. 100% happy with the care our daughter received. & so thankful for Dr. Joseph and his team.

I wish I could video tape the whole process of getting our daughter’s teeth fixed the day of the surgery. It was very smooth and everyone was very KIND and HUMANE to us all. From receptionist to the surgeon , everyone was respectful.

We had a wonderful experience with Dr Joseph’s team to have my 5 year old girl’ teeth treatment done under general anesthesia. Ms Liz helped a lot with arrangements coordinations and answering general questions. Dr Joseph answered any medical questions and concerns we had before the appointment was scheduled and explained clearly on what he would do during the procedures. We were treated with class and compassion. The staff that registered us were very very helpful. Everything was done virtually, with no wait time. My two daughters were seen within 2 weeks . This is by far the best pediatric dental sedation. The doctors and anesthesiologists were very professional.
